Frequently Asked Questions
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple or Google. To cancel on iOS, go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions and cancel SurgiSnap from there. On Android, go to Google Play → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. SurgiSnap does not process cancellations or refunds directly.
Where is my case data stored?
All case data is stored exclusively on your device in an AES-256 encrypted vault. No case log data is ever retained on SurgiSnap's servers.
Is SurgiSnap HIPAA compliant?
SurgiSnap is designed with privacy as a foundational principle. The app's AI-powered extraction feature processes protected health information transiently. It is used solely to extract and structure your operative case data, and is never stored, logged, or used for any secondary purpose.
SurgiSnap maintains HIPAA Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) with all third-party service providers involved in that processing. Under these agreements, your data is never retained and never used for analytics or model training of any kind.
Your structured case log data is stored only in the on-device encrypted vault and is never transmitted to SurgiSnap's servers.
The AI extracted incorrect CPT codes. What should I do?
AI extraction is an assistive tool and all extracted data should be reviewed before saving. You can manually edit any field in the case log after extraction. If you notice a consistent pattern of extraction errors for a specific procedure type, please report it to admin@surgisnap.io so we can improve the pipeline.
I lost access to my case log after reinstalling the app. How do I restore it?
SurgiSnap includes an encrypted cloud backup feature that protects your case log across reinstalls and device changes. Your backup is secured with a master passcode that you create during setup. SurgiSnap does not have access to this passcode and cannot reset it on your behalf. Keep it somewhere safe.
To restore your case log after reinstalling, select Restore from Backup during onboarding and enter your master passcode. If you enabled auto-backup, your most recent cases will be available automatically.
If you did not set up a backup prior to reinstalling and do not have your master passcode, the data cannot be recovered. This is by design to ensure that only you can access your case log. Contact admin@surgisnap.io if you need further assistance.
What happens to my data if I delete the app?
Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored case data from your device. If you have set up encrypted cloud backup, your case log can be restored after reinstalling using your master passcode. If you want to ensure complete local data destruction before uninstalling, use the Emergency Erase feature within the app first.
